EGR delete does not work without a complete computer reprogramming and remapping all the fuel mixture maps.. when the EGR valve opens as you accelerate.. exhaust gas containing less oxygen as its been burned up in combustion.. this lowers the need for fuel. so the computer program backs off on the air fuel ratio by narrowing the injector pulse

This is very different to a petrol engine where EGR ain't the best. In an ideal world in diesels a working EGR is a good thing. So the two real reasons most people delete the EGRs are firstly due to cost of replacement – when the manifold so choked up with soot and the flap or whatever is jammed it usually leads to the death of said EGR valve.
It therefore ruptures and allows coolant into the combustion chamber lifting the heads and popping head gaskets. EGR delete is 100% better than upgrading the cooler to a Bullet Proof Diesel one. ELC is silicate free and is what should be in these trucks from the start.
The original dream was to probably do the TVG+EGR, AOS, a catted J-Pipe (potentially was going to keep the exhaust stock but needed more research before figuring all that out), and a flex fuel kit/fuel pump. Would this path still be reasonable without the TVG+EGR delete or would I just be introducing a bunch of knock.
EGR Delete Cons 1. Bad For the Environment. The whole purpose of the EGR valve is to recirculate some of the exhaust gases back into the 2. Possibly Reduced Horsepower. The EGR delete kit works much better with an older diesel motor. In the older 3. Louder Performance. This could be seen as a
I had the clamp break on mine with a massive exhaust leak and could still make 20 psi boost. 6.0L Power Stroke Diesel - Major power loss after egr delete - A few days ago I installed an egr delete on my 03 f250 6.0 after installing it I lost power like the turbo isn't building any boost I've checked my ic pipes and the rubber boots I have no ho8y. 109 450 398 365 494 477 459 118 401
